SUMMARY:Asia Regional - Chlorination in Emergencies
DESCRIPTION:This online course provides practical guidance on chlorination for safe drinking water in emergency settings\, with a focus on accurate dosage calculation and field application. Participants will explore key concepts such as free\, combined\, and residual chlorine\, and the critical factors to consider before chlorinating water. \nThrough step-by-step instruction and applied exercises\, learners will use the Horrocks’ Test to determine appropriate chlorine doses based on water quality conditions. The course also introduces methods for measuring turbidity\, pH\, and chlorine levels\, and addresses common operational challenges encountered in the field. Participants will gain confidence in calculating and applying correct dosages for both batch chlorination and shock chlorination of tanks and wells. \nAttend here!

SUMMARY:Wi Lead: Women with Disabilities Leading for Equality and Inclusion
DESCRIPTION:Wi Lead by Sabi (“We lead by example”) was a gender-transformative innovation that sought to address gender and disability discrimination as intersecting dimensions of women’s identities. It was a locally designed initiative that empowered women living with physical disabilities in Sierra Leone to demonstrate their capacity to contribute to and lead in their community\, resulting in shifting community norms and decision-making around disability\, gender equality\, education\, and sexual and reproductive health. \nThe objective of this concurrent session is to support participants to reflect on and adapt women- and youth-led\, community-driven approaches to gender and disability inclusion. \nDate: Tuesday\, 28 April 2026 | Time: 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm AEST | Room: 212
