DESCRIPTION:Women in Global Health will be hosting\, in partnership with other CSOs\, four regional town halls in selected regions that expose communities to SEAH (East and Southern Africa\, Francophone Africa\, Southern America\, and Asia). The first regional town hall on East and Southern Africa town hall took place on August 17\, 2022. The second town hall took place on October 27\, 2022\, focusing on Latin America and the Caribbean. The third town hall will be taking place on November 29\, 2022 focusing on the Asian region. This event will be the fourth and final of this series\, where we will be launching the #HealthToo Policy Report. \nTranslation will be available in French and English. \nRegister here

SUMMARY:Mainstreaming Health in Climate Action
DESCRIPTION:As the global focus on climate change deepens\, there is an opportunity to elevate the dialogue on the need for stronger policies and resource dedication to human health within the climate change mitigation and adaptation framework. Africa Dialogues will bring together thought leaders\, policymakers\, climate activists and health experts to unpack the linkages between climate change and health and spearhead discussions on what must be done to position health at the heart of climate action plans. \nObjectives of the Webinar \nThis session will aim to: \n1. Highlight the impacts of climate change on health and make a case for prioritising health systems in response to the growing burden of climate change. \n2. Advocate for the mainstreaming of health in climate change conversations\, mitigation\, adaptation and financing policies. \n3. Spotlight best practices in building adaptive\, climate-resilient health systems\, and discuss strategies and actions needed to drive action in this area. \nREGISTER HERE
