SUMMARY:IATI Virtual Community Exchange
DESCRIPTION:This IATI ‘Virtual Community Exchange’ (VCE) is the first of two online events taking place in 2021 to bring together the global IATI community. The VCEs will be informal\, interactive and community-driven\, focusing on providing opportunities for shared learning based on practical experiences in engaging with IATI data. \nJoin IATI’s first VCE on 13 April to help us consider IATI’s progress vis-à-vis the current state of transparency and open data in the era of the Sustainable Development Goals. During the VCE\, you will hear about recent and upcoming IATI activities and how you can participate\, be inspired during sessions led by other members of the IATI community and engage with peers in the open data and transparency space. A second VCE to be held in late 2021 will provide additional opportunity for more technically-focused sessions and will showcase even more content from you as members of the IATI community! \nWho can attend the Virtual Community Exchange? How can I register? \nThe Virtual Community Exchange is open to anyone with an interest in transparency\, open data or IATI generally. We expect participation from a broad range of stakeholders\, including from governments\, civil society\, the private sector\, academia and others\, from across the globe. The event will be organised over a half day of diverse sessions. There is no expectation that participants would attend all sessions\, but can ‘pick and choose’ based on their interests and needs. Simultaneous interpretation between English\, French and Spanish will be provided. Read more about how to prepare for the VCE by reading  ‘Getting Ready for the VCE.’ \nPlease register your participation in the event using this link no later than 9 April 2021.\nWhere will the Virtual Community Exchange be held? \nThe Virtual Community Exchange will be held virtually on Zoom. Links to individual sessions will be circulated to registered participant the week before the event. \nWhat will the Virtual Community Exchange agenda cover? How can I contribute? \nThe interactive agenda for the VCE is available here\, offering three parallel sessions simultaneously. Participants are welcome to attend a session from each time slot\, or to ’pick and choose’\, only attending sessions that fit their needs and interests. This preliminary agenda will be updated with more exciting details as the event draws nearer\, so check back regularly for more updates. In the meantime you can also log in to Sched to bookmark sessions you plan to attend\, view your schedule and leave feedback. \nFor any further questions on the first IATI Virtual Exchange\, please contact the IATI Secretariat at info@iatistandard.org or leave a question below!\n\n\n\n
