Women shoulder a disproportionate share of care work responsibilities\, which leads to time poverty and limits their economic empowerment and public leadership opportunities as well as access to social protection services. Care is important for society\, for human development\, and for gender equality. Panelists including SATHI\, a grassroots organization in Bangladesh\, the Government of Canada\, UNWOMEN\, the Republic of Senegal\, World Renew\, ACT Alliance\, and OCIC will share insights\, best practices\, and lessons learned from implementing women’s economic empowerment programs that seek to transform policies\, practices and social norms that can accelerate the achievement of gender equality and poverty eradication.
