DESCRIPTION:Women in Global Health will be hosting\, in partnership with other CSOs\, four regional town halls in selected regions that expose communities to SEAH (East and Southern Africa\, Francophone Africa\, Southern America\, and Asia). The first regional town hall on East and Southern Africa town hall took place on August 17\, 2022. The second town hall took place on October 27\, 2022\, focusing on Latin America and the Caribbean. The third town hall will be taking place on November 29\, 2022 focusing on the Asian region. This event will be the fourth and final of this series\, where we will be launching the #HealthToo Policy Report. \nTranslation will be available in French and English. \nRegister here

DESCRIPTION:As the global focus on climate change deepens\, there is an opportunity to elevate the dialogue on the need for stronger policies and resource dedication to human health within the climate change mitigation and adaptation framework. Africa Dialogues will bring together thought leaders\, policymakers\, climate activists and health experts to unpack the linkages between climate change and health and spearhead discussions on what must be done to position health at the heart of climate action plans. \nObjectives of the Webinar \nThis session will aim to: \n1. Highlight the impacts of climate change on health and make a case for prioritising health systems in response to the growing burden of climate change. \n2. Advocate for the mainstreaming of health in climate change conversations\, mitigation\, adaptation and financing policies. \n3. DESCRIPTION:Throughout human history\, migration has been a courageous expression of the individual’s will to overcome adversity and to live a better life. Today\, globalization\, together with advances in communications and transportation\, has greatly increased the number of people\, who have the desire and the capacity to move to other places. \nThis new era has created challenges and opportunities for societies throughout the world. It also has served to underscore the clear linkage between migration and development\, as well as the opportunities it provides for co-development\, that is\, the concerted improvement of economic and social conditions at both origin and destination. \nMigration draws increasing attention in the world nowadays. Mixed with elements of unforeseeability\, emergency\, and complexity\, the challenges and difficulties of international migration require enhanced cooperation and collective action among countries and regions. The United Nations is actively playing a catalyst role in this area\, with the aim of creating more dialogues and interactions within countries and regions\, as well as propelling experience exchange and collaboration opportunities.
