The CanGIVE project supports UNICEF in increasing equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines by enhancing vaccine delivery and uptake among high-priority groups and integrating COVID-19 vaccination into routine health services. It also seeks to strengthen health systems and improve gender-sensitive water, sanitation and hygiene systems in 11 countries (Bangladesh, Colombia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, Haiti, Ivory Coast, Jamaica, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal and Tanzania), including humanitarian activities in Bangladesh, Mozambique and Nigeria. Project activities include: (1) supporting immunization planning, monitoring and data systems; (2) providing waste management, cold chain and logistics support for vaccination; and (3) supporting quality essential gender-responsive Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health and infection prevention and control.
