Description

Santé Monde collaborates with the Fondation Mérieux to contribute to the establishment and capacity building of epidemiological surveillance centres (ESC) as part of the REDISSE program (regional disease surveillance systems enhancement).

The REDISSE program aims to (i) strengthen national and regional intersectoral capacity for collaborative disease surveillance and epidemic preparedness in West Africa, to address the systemic challenges of animal and human health systems that limit effective surveillance and response to diseases; and (ii) in the event of an eligible emergency, be able to provide an immediate and effective response to the emergency.
