DESCRIPTION:The Institute for Global Health at BC Children’s Hospital and BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre are thrilled to announce the 3rd Annual Global Health Evening & Dinner for Nursing and Allied Health Professionals taking place on Thursday November 27\, 2025 from 5pm to 7pm PDT at BC Children’s Hospital’s Chan Centre for Family Health Education. This annual event seeks to create a welcoming space for nursing and allied health professionals to gather as a community and delve into topics relevant to our practice over a shared meal. Students enrolled in nursing and allied health programs are also welcome to attend! \nThis year\, our event is titled “Drivers of Change: Champions of Care in Nursing and Allied Health.” We will spotlight the impactful work nursing and allied health professionals around the world are doing to transform healthcare delivery in their own local context. Look forward to a global panel of nursing and allied professionals speaking on: \n\nWomen’s reproductive health including endometriosis and menopause in Canada\nPediatric palliative care in Nepal\nIndigenous nutrition and food insecurity on the North Island\nHealth equity among Maya Indigenous peoples in Guatemala\n\nWe would love to have you join us for an evening of learning and reflection over a delicious meal prepared by Tayybeh.
