Description


Contribute to the reduction of maternal and infant mortality in the targeted regions.
– Improve the use of essential health services for women of childbearing age, adolescents, newborns and children under five who are poor and highly vulnerable;
– Improve the provision of quality essential health services to women of childbearing age, adolescents, newborns and children under 5 who are poor and highly vulnerable;
– Improve the increased dissemination and use of data by the project, communities, health committees, service providers, planners and policy makers.

Main results achieved to date (2016):
• Production of a gender sensitive image box on MNCH;
• Commemoration of 7 special events related to the project;
• Conducting an orientation session for 64 ASCPs on the creation of mothers’ clubs;
• Conducting 6 community causeries for leaders and notables;
• Conducting a training session for 33 trainers on men’s engagement in MNCH;
• Conducting a training session for 25 trainers on the Change Champion Model;
• Development of a Gender / MNCH training module;
• Conducting a training session for 15 trainers on gender / MNCH;
• Establishment of 45 AVEC groups (1,086 members, 80% women);
• Recruitment, training, graduation and deployment of 50 ASCPs and 5 supervisors, 70% of whom are women;
• Creation / strengthening of 11 health committees;
Support to DPSPE for the development of a national strategy for community participation;
• Conducting a workshop with the main actors in Community Participation in Haiti;
• Delivery of 2 vehicles to DSNE (1 equipped ambulance and 1 vehicle for supervision).
• Implementation of 37 mobile phones for the operation of the reference and counter-reference system;
• Acquisition of 11 3-wheel motorcycles;
• Donation of an essential drug shipment focused on MNCH and small equipment;
• Equipment and operational support for 41 fixed health points;

• Recruitment of a consultant to develop the mobile data collection platform in collaboration with the MSPP;
• Provision of collection and reporting tools for health centers;
• Training of 15 journalists on MNCH / SSR.
• Completion of 2 joint supervisory visits DPSPE / Plan;
• Support to DSNE for supervising visits to the 11 health facilities supported by the SHOW project;
• Training of 33 providers on the data continuum;
• Support to DSNE for the availability of SISNU tools in the 11 health facilities supported by the SHOW project;
• Acquisition of 13 laptops, 13 jump routers, 123 tablets and 123 powerbanks to facilitate data management.
