Presenting the Healthy World Conference program!

Our flagship event, the Healthy World Conference: Dialogues on Health, Gender & Climate Resilience takes place next month! Our full program features sessions on climate and reproductive rights, global partnerships and multilateral collaboration, youth and children’s perspectives on climate and health equity, the implications of AI on global health challenges and the leadership of Indigenous women in fostering climate resilience. 

Held from May 14 to 15 on the traditional territory of the Kanien’kehà:ka Nation, also known as Montréal, Quebec, the conference will be delivered in a variety of formats, including curated discussions, fireside chats and workshops.

Canadian aid sector welcomes Budget boost for humanitarian needs

A coalition of over 100 NGOs representing a wide-range of development, humanitarian, environmental and advocacy groups welcomed new funding for humanitarian programs committed as part of Federal Budget 2024. Read the sector response here.

In June 2023, Global Affairs Canada (GAC) hosted its first Risk Appetite Hackathon held in support of the department’s Grants and Contributions Transformation Initiative (GCTI). The event took place over nine days and included over 350 participants from Canadian and international civil society organizations, local partner organizations, think tanks and the private sector.

Our spring data drive to update our Project Explorer is underway! We call on partners to share data that is either missing or incomplete on development and humanitarian initiatives. This includes results data and disaggregated population data. Project information can be shared through the online user portal or by filling out this Excel template and sending it to us at [email protected]
