Description

The project aims to improve the accessibility of gender-sensitive health services for communities in three districts (11, 12 and 13) in the La Paz peripheral area. The project has three specific results: (1) building the capacity of women leader-representatives as agents of change in the nexus of women’s health and rights; (2) raising awareness among health centre staff, including persons in positions of authority to provide care that respects the rights and specific needs of women; and (3) raising awareness among members of women’s centres to strengthen their empowerment with regard to their health and among the citizens of the targeted communities so that they can live in an environment – that includes male allies – that is conducive to their health.
