SHAPE Hub Launches New Resource Portal for Sexual Health

  • The Sexual Health and Genito-Pelvic Pain Knowledge Empowerment (SHAPE) Hub is launching a new evidence-based Resource Portal focused on sexual difficulties and genito-pelvic pain (SD/GPP). Hosted by SIECCAN, it offers tailored tools and educational materials for women and gender-diverse individuals and health-care providers seeking practical, research-informed resources to enhance clinical care.

Hub highlights

  • Watch: SHAPE members presented “From Planning to Practice: Applications of Knowledge Mobilization for Research Impact” at Women’s Health Research Institute’s lunch and learn. The session explored Knowledge Mobilization frameworks and patient-oriented strategies for resource development, research priorities, and SD/GPP care.
  • Learn: Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women and gender-diverse people, yet symptoms are routinely dismissed, care is delayed, and the absence of a national strategy has left millions suffering. It is time to treat endometriosis like the crisis it is. Read “Endometriosis is a national health crisis: Why aren’t we treating it like one?” to learn why urgent action is overdue.
  • Read: Are you a health or service provider working with women and gender-diverse people living with HIV, this blog series is essential reading. Created by the Canadian HIV Parenting Planning Guidelines (CHPPG) team and hosted on the Women-Centered HIV Care (WCHC) Hub, the bi-monthly blog offers thoughtful insights into reproductive health, pregnancy, and parenting pathways for people living with HIV.
  • Share and apply: The Knowledge Mobilization for Pregnancy and Post-Pregnancy Care (GEM) Hub has launched a new website. It highlights ongoing efforts to meaningfully engage communities and co-create initiatives aimed at reducing severe maternal morbidity and mortality.
