GAC Call for Preliminary Proposals – Haiti: Improving Citizen Participation in Haiti’s Health Sector
Global Affairs Canada has announced a call for preliminary proposals for Haiti. The deadline for submitting a preliminary proposal is September 5, 2018, at 12 pm, ET. Beyond 2020 Conference Outcomes Report has been published!
The Beyond 2020 Conference brought together national and international leaders to: 1) discuss and learn from Canada’s past ten years of health programming under the Muskoka commitment; 2) take stock of where we are in addressing key gaps; and, 3) shape the way Canadian leadership on development and women and children’s health will unfold post-2020 .
The Conference Outcomes Report covers the pivots needed from Canadian international development and gender equality stakeholders in order to best implement the Feminist International Assistance Policy, and accelerate progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDGs 3 and 5.

July Metrics Bulletin: Nutrition
The monthly theme for the July edition of the CanWaCH Metrics Bulletin is Nutrition. The spotlight Member is Action Against Hunger Canada, the global convener for all humanitarian agencies undertaking nutrition surveys and a recognized leader in providing training and technical support on SMART(Standardized Monitoring of Relief and Transitions), a nutrition survey methodology that provides up-to-date and reliable information on global hunger.

2018 Annual Canadian Association of Midwives Conference & Exhibit
Registration is NOW OPEN for the 2018 CAM Conference and Exhibit, Annual General Meeting, Pre-Conference Workshops, and CAM Global Health Symposium! The symposium, Exploring Best Practices in Global Reproductive Health and Rights, will kick off the annual conference on October 17. It will use the work of midwives as a touchstone for larger conversations on the themes of family planning, sexual health and rights, abortion, gender transformation, Indigenous health and monitoring and evaluation. Early Bird rates apply until August 15th, so be sure to register today!
