CHANGING THE NARRATIVE: AFRICA IN PUBLIC DISCOURSE

How do global media portrayals and popular misconceptions of Africa shape investment, economic development, and policymaking? What are the real costs of these narratives, and how can they be challenged? Join the ONE Campaign and the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy Social Policy Lab for a dynamic conversation exploring how such narratives and misconceptions influence trade, public perception. We’ll also examine their impact on Canada-Africa relations and explore actionable strategies for changing the narrative about Africa on the global stage.
