Date: November 26th, from 1pm to 3pm (ET)
Event description: In today’s interconnected world, crises like those unfolding in Sudan, Gaza, Lebanon Haiti, and the Congo demand swift action from the international community. However, responses are often shaped by racial dynamics and power structures that impact their effectiveness and equity.
The Anti-Racist Cooperation Hub invites members of the Canadian international cooperation and humanitarian aid sector to a thought-provoking session exploring:
– How race, equity, and inclusion shape crisis responses
– Why some crises receive global attention while others are ignored
– The dangers of neutrality in maintaining unjust power structures
– Crisis as an opportunity to rethink and transform actions
Participants will reflect on biases, explore innovative interventions, and engage in meaningful discussions to shift from surface-level responses toward sustainable, equity-driven solutions.
Join us for a conversation that empowers the sector to act boldly and justly in moments of global upheaval.
Speakers to be announce soon!
