Call for Applications: Civil Society Representatives – Pandemic Fund Governance Board

The Pandemic Fund Civil Society and Community Constituency are inviting applications for Global South and Global North Civil Society Board Members & Alternates to serve on the Pandemic Fund Governance Board — a key global platform strengthening pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response (PPR) in low- and middle-income countries.

Established in 2022, the Pandemic Fund is a multilateral financing mechanism dedicated to improving global PPR capabilities. The Fund is hosted by the World Bank, with technical support from WHO and oversight from a 21-member Governing Board, including two voting seats for civil society.

Role of CSO Board Members

Civil society representatives are full voting members, helping shape strategic priorities, funding decisions, oversight, and accountability. They represent the voice of communities, advocate for equity, and strengthen engagement across stakeholders.

Candidate Criteria

Applicants must:

  1. Have strong experience in global health, development, or finance
  2. Hold a senior role in a CSO/community-based organization
  3. Demonstrate capacity to consult widely and represent constituency positions
  4. Be fluent in English and commit 5–20 hours/week depending on board activities
  5. Be experienced in pandemic preparedness, advocacy, or working with multilateral institutions

Term & Commitment

The term is 2 years (starting May 2025). This is a volunteer role with no salary, but travel costs for in-person meetings are covered.
