Chief Executive Officer

WaterAid Canada is seeking an inspiring and creative leader with strong ethics and the stature and credibility to represent us across the public, private and non-profit sectors. Reporting to, and working with, the Board Chair, Board Directors, staff, and volunteers of the WaterAid Canada, you will:

  • Be the face and voice of WaterAid Canada, raising our profile, and working closely with governments, institutions, industry partners, donors, sponsors, media, and communities on sustainable solutions to meet international water, sanitation and hygiene needs
  • With the Board Chair, attends the International Board of WaterAid meetings and works closely with the CEOs of other WaterAid members to advance the work of the federation
  • Support, coach, and enable the talented staff and volunteers of WaterAid Canada, fostering a collaborative, diverse and inclusive workplace and culture that motivates and retains a high-performing team
  • Drive programming focused on measurable outcomes and meaningful impact, modeling and prioritizing operational excellence, accountability, and transparency

The ideal candidate is an accomplished leader, trusted partner, and skilled communicator who has a demonstrable record of achievement in the non-profit, business or public sectors. Ideally you will have led organizations and built alliances with both domestic and international partners. Throughout your career, you have shown great vision, strategic foresight, and the ability to lead people and programs and drive high performing organizations. As an administrator, you have excellent judgement, strong critical thinking skills, and unquestioned integrity. Your ability to represent WaterAid Canada in both official languages is a desired asset.
