Cuso International is a Canadian-based non-profit international development organization that works to reduce poverty and inequality through collaborative partnerships, compassionate donors and highly skilled volunteers.

We are an organization with a vision of a world where all people are able to realize their potential, develop their skills and participate fully in society. We are now seeking an outstanding and entrepreneurial CEO to lead the organization, drive the delivery of Cuso International’s mission, and advance its vision.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive leads a Leadership Team and will have ultimate responsibility for our 120 staff, and over 700 volunteers, working on programs in 12 countries. Our CEO will also oversee our engagement with over 360 partners and the sustainable generation and growth of our annual income and expenditures.

The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial, dynamic, focused and committed leader who is passionate about tackling poverty and inequality and strengthening communities around the world. We are seeking a visionary CEO who is an inspiring communicator for varied audiences, with a track record of organizational accomplishment, building a brand, and fundraising success. As a confident, authentic and compelling leader, they will be well versed in board relations and stakeholder and partner engagement. Our next CEO will demonstrate a deep commitment to building a collegial, respectful, open and enabling environment for all employees, volunteers and partners to learn, to flourish, and to make a difference in their communities. Most importantly, they will bring deeply held personal values that align with Cuso International’s own mission, vision and values. They will work with our Board, staff, partners, funders and other stakeholders to advance Cuso International’s focus on empowering women and girls; improving opportunities for youth; as well as harnessing the power of volunteers. Bilingualism (English/French) is desirable.
