Communications Coordinator / Social Media Coordinator (Volunteer)

Sex and Self is a student run registered not-for-profit organization that aims to provide individuals with educational seminars, workshops, events, and resources pertaining to sexual and reproductive health and wellness. We strive to encourage individuals to achieve agency over their bodies through educational empowerment because we believe that nobody benefits from knowing less about their body.

These positions will be working directly with our Executive Director, to oversee social media and external communications. All applicants, in Canada, 18+ are encouraged to apply. These positions are volunteer based completely remote.

Communications Coordinator (6 month contract, up for renewal)

Communications coordinators handle an organizations’ marketing communications inside and outside the business. One of their main responsibilities is to maintain a business’ reputation with employees and with the general public outside the company. They will also support the development and researchers of Grant writing and development.

• We are looking for someone with strong writing and research skills (English & French is an asset).
• Someone familiar with Google Workspace, Slack & Listserv training.
• Someone in alignment with Sex and Selfs mandates of sex-positivity, anti-racism & pro-choice.

Social Media Coordinator (6 month contract, up for renewal)

As a Social media coordinator, you will develop original content and suggest creative ways to attract more customers and promote our brand. Ultimately, you should be able to increase web traffic and customer engagement metrics aligned with broader marketing strategies.

• We are looking for someone with strong writing skills
• We are looking for someone familiar with Canva, Squarespace & Instagram.
• Someone familiar with Google Workspace, Slack & Listserv training.
• Someone in alignment with Sex and Selfs mandates of sex-positivity, anti-racism & pro-choice.
