About the Role

After more than a decade of meaningful progress, we are thrilled to expand our team once again—this time with the addition of a full-time Content Specialist.

The Content Specialist will report directly to the Director of Marketing & Brand, who is responsible for optimizing the e-commerce performance, sharing the social impact work, while maintaining a consistent brand across channels. 

As a Content Specialist, you will develop a variety of visually engaging materials and meaningful touch points across multiple platforms, while ensuring consistency with our brand voice and objectives. You will take full ownership of managing the company’s social media accounts, which requires creating, editing, and managing the copy and photo + video content that engages our diverse target audience. 

This role is Toronto-based and offers a hybrid work environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Content Creation: Produce and edit photos & videos for social media, websites, email campaigns. Write copy for websites, blogs, social media, email campaigns, and other marketing materials.
• Contribute to Content Strategy: Support the Director of Marketing & Brand to plan and create content that drives engagement, lead generation, and brand awareness.
• Audience Research: Understand and analyze diverse target audiences to create content that is interesting, educational and reflective of different perspectives and experiences.
• Content Calendar Management: Plan and manage a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely content delivery.
• Content Performance Monitoring: Track content performance using analytics tools and make adjustments to improve engagement and effectiveness.
• Stay Updated: Keep up with industry trends, content marketing best practices, and emerging platforms with a commitment to continuous learning and inclusive content creation.
• Community Engagement: Actively interact with the Lucky Iron Life community (customers, influencers, partners, followers, and target audience at large) across all channels, including social media, emails, and other communication platforms in a timely, inclusive, and thoughtful manner. Foster a positive and engaging community experience by addressing inquiries, resolving customer issues, and ensuring overall satisfaction through supportive and meaningful interaction.

Experience & Skills:

• Education: A degree in a related field, such as marketing, communications or equivalent experience. We value non-traditional education paths and encourage applicants with relevant experience to apply. 
• Experience: 4-5 years of content creation, digital marketing, or a related field.
• Strong Writing, Communication and Editing Skills: We welcome diverse perspectives and value clear, inclusive communication that resonates with a variety of audiences.
• Creative and Inclusive Thinking: Demonstrated ability to generate unique, engaging content ideas that resonate with broad and diverse audiences.
• SEO Knowledge: Solid understanding of SEO best practices to optimize content and improve organic reach across varied demographics.
• Attention to detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring high-quality, accurate content that is accessible and inclusive across all platforms.
• Proficiency with Content Editing Tools: Experience with Adobe Suite, Canva, FinalCut Pro, CapCut, and other relevant software.

Compensation:

• The base salary for this role will be within the range of $60,000-$78,000
• Ability to participate in our performance-based bonus program
