Fundraising Coordinator
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Her International is seeking an experienced sales and communications professional to lead the organization’s fund development, marketing, and communications.
The ideal candidate not only brings solid skills and expertise to the table but is also passionate about the education and empowerment of women globally and locally within Canada.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising:
- Devise a fundraising strategy and work to meet or exceed set targets
- Grow and manage existing and new fundraising opportunities consisting of: individual donors, corporate donors and partnerships, grants, events, and campaigns
- Recruit, manage, and motivate a team of volunteers who engage in fundraising activities
- Build a network of relationships with major donors and companies
- Make presentations to raise awareness of organization and its work
- Manage information and record the profile and fundraising activity of donors
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with members of the media
Communications:
- Send out quarterly newsletter to donors
- Conceptualize and execute a social media strategy
- Maintain Her International website
- Track donor communications
General:
- Attend staff meetings and coordinate volunteer meetings as needed
- Make recommendations to the Board on changes to policies and procedures that would improve the organization and its mission
- Contribute to annual preparation of Her International operational budget
- Operate within established annual budget
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in communications, public relations, fundraising or business
- Proven experience working in fundraising and strategy development. 3+ years meeting or exceeding annual metrics
- Superior verbal and written communication skills and proven interpersonal skills, including presentation and facilitation skills
- Knowledge of Keela or another DRM an asset
- Experience with Squarespace, Canva, and Google Suite an asset
JOB TERM: Part-time / Permanent
LOCATION: Flexible within Canada, applicants in major city centres preferred / Applicant must be Canadian resident or citizen / remote position
SALARY: negotiable based on experience
