Making Space for Youth Leadership

Are you passionate about gender equity and centring youth voices? Join the 2023 cohort of the Making Space for Youth Leadership program!

Making Space for Youth Leadership is a 10-month virtual leadership development program that brings together youth leaders and business leaders to develop their inclusive leadership skills. MSYL seeks to advance women’s recovery from the current impacts of COVID-19 through systemic change. It is an opportunity for intergenerational learning with a focus on highlighting the wisdom of youth leaders and removing barriers to youth leadership. 

We will do this by:

• making space for leadership that doesn’t fit a masculine mold
• facilitating reciprocal learning exchanges that level the power dynamic between youth and adults
• normalizing everyday leadership behaviors
• improving participants’ communication and collaboration skills
• helping participants’ build supportive networks and broaden their connections

This program is open to a group of 25 youth and business leaders. MSYL is open to self-identified girls and women, transgender, and non-binary people.

The deadline to apply is January 31, 2023. However, selections will be made on a rolling basis. We encourage interested candidates to get their application in early to save their spot!
