Reporting to: Senior Manager, Annual Giving & Data Analytics
Location: Flexible (Must reside in Canada)
Hiring Salary Range: CAD $75,000 to $79,000, prorated to the contract length

About the Opportunity
As Manager, Annual Giving, you will play a critical role in supporting donor marketing initiatives, driving digital fundraising, and managing integrated marketing campaigns. You will work closely with the CFTC Brand & Communications team and various external partners to execute marketing strategies aimed at supporting our mission.

Key Responsibilities:
Donor Marketing and Digital Acquisition

  • Collaborate with CFTC’s Brand & Communications team to develop and implement digital marketing campaigns to achieve fundraising goals, manage budgets and analyze data to inform future strategies.
  • Review and approve ad materials, ensuring that key messages, ad copy, and calls to action are aligned with CFTC’s mission and optimized for the donor experience.
  • Provide guidance on personalization, audience segmentation, and data-driven decision-making to enhance campaign performance.

Project Management – Integrated Donor Marketing Campaigns

  • Serve as the liaison between CFTC’s fund development and brand & communications teams to ensure the successful implementation of marketing campaigns.
  • Lead the development of project briefs, manage budgets, coordinate team meetings, and ensure timely completion of campaign wrap reports and debriefs.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors (print vendors, direct mail house, telemarketing agencies) to execute campaigns effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in direct marketing; experience in the not-for-profit sector is an asset
  • Strong understanding of direct marketing processes, scheduling, and production cycles
  • Experience managing the creative development process and familiarity with donor databases and CRM tools
  • Excellent communication, writing, and project management skills
  • Proven track record of strategic leadership, with strong planning, budgeting, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work collaboratively within a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant tools
  • A high-energy, positive, and flexible attitude, with the ability to work occasional evenings or weekends when necessary
