The Anti-Racist Cooperation (ARC) Hub is a dedicated coordination secretariat and a resource center for the sector. Our goal is to help Canadian international development and humanitarian organizations improve their ability to integrate anti-racism and intersectional feminism into their work in the creation of resources, knowledge sharing spaces, networks of support and training. The ARC Hub is hosted by Cooperation Canada and funded by Global Affairs Canada.
The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from graphic designers or design teams who wish to work with the ARC Hub team to design our 2024 Annual Report that will be published in September 2024.
The selected graphic designer will be responsible for designing a visually engaging and accessible report that captures the data, key insights, and recommendations of the 2024 Annual survey. It should reflect the progress made regarding our collective commitments to the Anti-Racism Framework. Indeed, the annual report aims at sharing performance measurement indicators that will guide organizations on the anti-racism journey and contribute to improving sector-wide data on the progress made towards a more antiracist sector and society. The visual identity of the report must reflect the progress made since 2021, meaning that the evolution of the data can be captured and compared with previous years.
Scope of work
In addition to the visual design of the report, the designer is expected to develop social media templates that are Canva compatible for our social platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn) based on the report’s visual identity. The aim is to highlight the report’s key data, promote it and engage our audience. For each of the platforms, we would like to have visuals that can be used for tree mains purposes: engaging our audience with the 2024 Annual Report, promoting it and its launch, and highlighting key data and findings.
Brand Voice Attributes (Report branding attributes)
We would like to have a report that is visually bright, playful, and modern while still being confident and bold. We are in work that has trouble being professionalized and taken seriously so we want to keep some youthful levity while also being clear and trust inducing as serious and important stakeholders in the sector. We want our visual impact to match our words and values while reflecting and accommodating different learning styles. We aren’t afraid to show personality and play with colors!
Target Audience
We are attempting to reach out to the following targets with our 2024 Annual Report:
The designer/design team is expected to work remotely, providing remote support to the ARC Team. The consultant will be expected to engage using online platforms including Canva, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
