Results Canada Fellowship Program

We’re looking for the next generation of advocates and leaders

If you, or someone you know, is committed to learning about the causes and consequences of extreme poverty, the solutions to address it and wants to take strategic action, this may be the opportunity for you. Starting in January 2021, the Results Education and Advocacy Fellowship is a brand new opportunity for adults across Canada that features hands-on advocacy and leadership training.

Throughout the year, participants (fellows) will meet virtually as a group to develop their leadership, communication and advocacy skills, deepen their understanding of global health and extreme poverty in the Global South, take action in the form of writing to the media (letters to the editor and op-eds), voice opinions on social media, and engage with federal government decision makers to guide them towards decisions that give people living in poverty the health, education and opportunity they need to thrive.

Backed by the in-depth research and legislative expertise of Results Canada staff and partners, Results fellows will realize the incredible power they possess to use their voices.

As Results Fellow you will:

  • receive training and support over 12 months to become a powerful advocate and leader
  • learn about global health, the causes and consequences of extreme poverty, and the solutions to address it
  • learn how to communicate powerfully and to write impactful letters to the media
  • learn how to influence your Member of Parliament (MP) on issues that matter
  • take action on a monthly basis on our current campaigns
  • start your own Results group or help a local Results group grow and thrive
  • participate in webinars where you will hear from inspiring speakers
  • meet like-minded individuals, network and create meaningful relationships

Consult our volunteer stories to find out more about what you can be a part of.
