Aga Khan Foundation Canada (AKFC) is seeking a short-term consultant to support the collection, review, and writing of end-of-project reporting. ‘Teaching the Sustainable Development Goals’ is a 1-year project funded by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) that is designed to develop digital toolkits and educational videos to support educators in teaching the Sustainable Development Goals through museum art and artefacts.
The consultant will support the project team remotely on a part-time basis, between June 27th 2022, and July 15th, 2022.

‘Teaching the Sustainable Development Goals through Art’ is a 1-year, CAD $100,000 ESDC-funded project. The project has produced a set of four classroom toolkits (Available in English and French), each of which examines a specific UN Sustainable Development Goal through the lens of art and artefacts from the Aga Khan Museum.

The project has also produced artefact videos and a how-to video to supplement the toolkit content and delivered virtual professional development workshops for educators to help build their capacity for using the toolkits in their classrooms.
AKFC seeks a qualified professional with strong English writing, data analysis, and communication skills, with demonstrated skills in report writing to support the end-of-project reporting to ESDC for the ‘Teaching the SDGs through Art’ project. The consultant will work with AKFC staff, drawing on AKFC’s brand guidelines and editorial policy, to deliver a high-quality final report.
The selected individual will work in collaboration with AKFC’s Education and Youth Engagement Officer to support with the following deliverables:

The assignment will require the analysis of data related to reach and use of educational materials, educator workshop attendance, educator feedback, and collection and analysis of additional data as needed.

The assignment is expected to begin on June 27th, 2022, and to be finalized by July 15th, 2022, on a part-time basis totalling 7.5 days (tentatively averaging two days/week). Deadlines for all deliverables will be confirmed as part of the consultant’s work plan, developed at the outset of the assignment.
