Survey on COVID-19, & Women’s Health – Developing Policies to Catalyze Well-being: A Maternal and Infant Health Canada (maa.med.ubc.ca) Study

In this study we are interested in understanding how individuals around the world perceive COVID-19 as a potential catalyst for the betterment of women’s health. The research consists of one (1) questionnaire delivered online through UBC’s Qualtrics Platform. The questionnaire will cover topics including: the current COVID-19 pandemic and response, women’s health status, and initiatives and programs that support women’s health. The overarching goal of this study is to develop policies, informed by lessons learned from COVID-19, that may promote women’s health in the future. This study is being run by Maternal and Infant Health Canada. For more information, please visit www.maa.med.ubc.ca.

We estimate the questionnaire will take 20-30 minutes to complete and it must be completed in one sitting. Please note your participation in this study is completely voluntary.

Potential Risks of the Study: We anticipate there will be minimal risk associated with this study. Respondents may feel upset or minor discomfort when reflecting on some of the questions related to COVID-19 or personal experiences in regards to women’s health. Please contact the study team if you have any questions.

Potential Benefits of the Study: The research is not meant to benefit you personally but your contributions may allow us to better understand how we can leverage the COVID-19 pandemic to develop progressive policies for the improvement of women’s health and well-being.

Confidentiality and Privacy: Your participation in this survey is confidential. All demographic information collected will be anonymized and pooled with data from other respondents for the purposes of analysis. Should you choose to provide your email address (at the end of the questionnaire) for study updates, we will uncouple that information from your responses so that we are unable to personally identify your data. Only Dr. Shroff and her research team will have access to your responses for the purposes of this research study.
