Making the links in Canada and Africa: evidence-informed policies and practices to improve maternal and child health

Today’s world is confronted with an unprecedented need for sound research evidence to inform policies and programs. What can we learn from past experiences?

This webinar will focused on the use of evidence for decision-making to improve maternal and child health. A panel with a researcher, a decision-maker, a knowledge broker and a representative of a non-governmental organization discussedtheir experiences in partnering to ensure data users are equipped with relevant evidence to tackle pressing local health systems challenges.

The model to bridge the evidence to the action gap from the Innovating for Maternal and Child Health in Africa (IMCHA) initiative were explored and lessons from implementation research projects to improve maternal and child health outcomes will be drawn.
