Report to Parliament on the Government of Canada’s Official Development Assistance 2017-2018

This is the 10th report on Canadian official development assistance since the Official Development Assistance Accountability Act (the Act) came into force on June 28, 2008. Canada has made progress in funding aimed at gender equality in its international development work. According to Global Affairs Canada’s recent report to Parliament, in 2017-2018, 90% ($2.5 billion) of Canada’s bilateral international development assistance either targeted or integrated gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy commits that 95% of Canadian bilateral assistance development assistance will be geared to gender equality results by 2021-2022.
