Technical Guidance Note on Measuring Women’s Empowerment in the Global Health Sector

CanWaCH’s “Technical Guidance Note on Measuring Women’s Empowerment in the Global Health Sector” was developed in March 2021 to support measurement of women’s empowerment in global health initiatives. The aim of the note is to provide a starting point for technical guidance on measuring women’s empowerment in the global health sector,  particularly for those projects that are included as part of Canada’s commitment to global health and rights of women and girls.

The note is oriented toward non-governmental organizations, Global Affairs Canada (GAC), and other stakeholders that adhere to GAC’s gender equality policies and Results Based Management (RBM) methodology. It also includes an extensive resource list for further information. This note is under active review and consultation. Recommendations regarding content and suggestions of additional resources are encouraged. Please contact Jessica Ferne, Director, Global Health Impact at [email protected] to participate more in this process.
