The relief and development agency of The Presbyterian Church in Canada. Development programs thematic priorities: Health, Food Security, Livelihoods, Human Rights. The organisation seeks to bring about a more sustainable, compassionate and just world. Programs are in South Asia (Afghanistan, Nepal, India, Pakistan), Africa (Malawi, Ghana), and Central America/Caribbean (Haiti, Guatemala, Nicaragua). There are 10 staff based in the Toronto office. We function according to a partnership model, therefore we don’t have staff overseas, but enter into partnership agreements with locally based organisations. PWS&D has implemented women’s health programs under the Muskoka initiative and more recently under the PSMNCH program, both in Malawi and in Afghanistan.
