The WHOCC seeks to strengthen evidence based policy and programs through building capacity to carry out equity effectiveness analysis research and training . This has had a focus globally through Cochran and Campbell collaborations, to build capacity on HTA in the Caribbean countries; strengthening of the HTA Network of the Americas (RedETSA), with a special focus in the incorporation of Caribbean countries to the Network; assisting countries in the application of the Equity-oriented approaches for planning and program development and implementation
workshops for that; and, to support the implementation of knowledge translation strategies
