This initiative is a sub-project of the Democratic Governance Fund and appears separately to denote that this component is a grant to the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women). This project is designed to respond to immediate needs associated with implementing gender considerations of the new Constitution. This project aims to facilitate coordination amongst key stakeholders from both civil society and in the legislation process and provide technical analysis and input for the promotion of gender equality in Kenya. UN Women is working with civil society, women movements and media to ensure citizen input and participation in the passage of the Affirmative Action Bill.
