Description

It is estimated that 36.7 million people around the world are living with HIV, 19.5 million people on antiretroviral therapy with 1.8 million newly infected each. The prevelance of HIV hits marginalized and vulnerable communities at the most. Women and children in Sub Saharan African countries are often the most affected population due to poverty, illiteracy, gender inequality and other factors. Southern Africa Embrace Foundation is committed to advocating for those of marginalized communites in Southern Africa have access to HIV/AIDS education, testing, medication and on eradicating stigma, discrimination and oppression. Our programs also focus on the youth (13-25) to help lower new HIV infection rates in this age group. We believe in a AIDS Free generation by 2030 as per UNAIDS goal.
