Description

The Project “Improved Leadership & Livelihood for Marginalized Women” was initiated on January 1st, 2019 in four union councils (UC- 51, UC- 52, UC- 104, and UC- 113) of District Sargodha to meet the project objectives. These UC’s are selected because TWO’s visiting
register showed that in the previous few months the female of these UC’s visited the TWO’s office for the initiative of livelihood program in their areas. During area profiling, it is also analyzed and observed by field staff that the ratio of poverty is more in these UC’s as compared
to other UC’s of District Sargodha.

These areas are also vulnerable from the government entitlements; there is no skill center for females to enhance their skills and abilities. Furthermore, TEVTA has its own 400 institutions in Punjab through which it is providing technical and vocational education to the females and males but unfortunately these areas are far behind from these institutions. Therefore the project, (ILLMC) envisions improving the life of 40 marginalized women and their families in these areas through livelihood initiatives by providing them social and economic uplift through nurturing their leadership skills and abilities.
