Description


This initiative seeks to improve the SRHR of poor, socially exclusded and underserved people, especially women, girls and youth, in Mali, Malawi, Colombia, Dominican Republic and Guatemala. Through this initiative, IPPF ensures the availability and supplly of quality SRH services and information, improve accessibility to under-served, hard-to-reach groups and enhance quality of care through the development of institutional sustainability strategies, the revision and updating of clinical clinical management information systems in clinics, the development of innovative service delivery strategies for focus populations, training of staff members in the provision of quality and rights-baesd SRH services, training of civil society on advocacy, the development of advocacy strategies and other key strategies.

Expected Results


The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) improved access to quality, integrated sexual and reproductive health services and information for poor, socially-excluded and /or under-served people, especially women, girls and youth; and (2) increased commitment by governments to provide quality sexual and reproductive health services and information, particularly for poor, socially excluded and/or underserved people, especially women, girls and youth.

1,593,809 unintended pregnancies averted in areas of intervention. 15,418 maternal DALYs averted in areas of intervention.
