Description

This project aims to support the growing National Commission of Indigenous Women in Colombia (CONAMIC) as a network that can contribute to building peace and fostering post-agreement security in Colombia, by strengthening the capacities and the legitimacy of Indigenous women as agents of change in their own communities and at the national level. Project activities include: (1) providing training on monitoring the implementation of Colombia’s Peace Agreement and localization of United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1325 on Women, Peace and Security; (2) reporting on UNSCR 1325 and implementing the Peace Agreement from an Indigenous women’s perspective; and (3) building the organizational capacity of CONAMIC.
