Description

The Save the Mothers (STM) Program offers a Master’s Degree in Public Health Leadership (MPHL), to working professionals from a wide range of disciplines and not only the health discipline. Save the mothers East Africa hosts the MPHL in Uganda at Uganda Christian University(UCU). The MPHL first started at UCU eight years ago with the aim of improving the health of mothers and babies in developing countries.

The MPHL students study on a part time basis over two years, completing the modular program with an intensive community outreach project. STM East Africa runs two different classes;
A class for national students that started in 2005 and another for international students which started in 2011.

Since 2005, nearly 200 East African leaders have come through the program. Graduates of our Master in Public Health Leadership program become champions and influencers for positive societal change, working to overcome preventable maternal and child death in their families and communities using their respective professions.
