Description

This IR Canada intervention intends to contribute to reducing poverty, food and nutritional insecurity rates in the Dogondoutchi (Doutchi) district of Dosso Region. This will be achieved through sustainable, climate adaptive agriculture development and small business development for vulnerable people of different genders, ages, and abilities. This will support household food security both through the generation of income, but also the growing of nutritious food. Malnutrition prevention will be addressed through awareness raising on food, health, and WASH, while the promotion of women’s rights will be incorporated to enhance protection mechanisms and gain community-wide support for the inclusion of women in economic activities.
