Results achieved at the end of the project include: the hospital, of which 60% was destroyed and which had lost almost all of its equipment following the earthquake of January 2010, has now been completely rehabilitated and equipped with all the equipment needed to operate properly. Work done for the organization and rehabilitation of the two pavilions (operating rooms and hospitalization) has been completed since January 2012. Tools and management practices implemented during the project have been fully mastered and are being applied by hospital managers.
Between October 2011 and March 2012, 8,595 consultations were completed at the Cardinal Léger Hospital. Already 4,036 men and boys, and 4,559 women and girls, figure among the users. Forecast targets set out for the project have largely been exceeded. When surveyed, users expressed a level of satisfaction of 73% (women) and 78% (men) for the services provided by the Hospital. Waiting time, trust in care providers, availability of prescribed exams and analyses, and respect of caregivers towards patients were some of the elements most appreciated by users.
