The project provides support to people in Cherkasy and Poltava Oblasts in Ukraine, in the sectors of health, shelter, relief, and cash assistance. The support to the health sector is being done through three types of intervention: (i) mobile health units that provides primary health care services to communities where their access to fixed facilities have been hampered by the conflict, especially IDPs, (ii) home-based care using social workers to provide services to lonely people (mostly elderly) based on four criteria of dependency plus services for people with disability, and (iii) scaling up mental health and psychosocial support to patients at Lviv Hospital. The mobile health units and home based care interventions are implemented through the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.
