CanWaCH Appears Before House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance

On Friday, October 20th, 2017, CanWaCH appeared before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance in view of its study of the Pre-Budget Consultations in Advance of the 2018 Budget. Dr. Helen Scott, Executive Director of CanWaCH, delivered the remarks to the Committee and took part in a round of questions and answers alongside several other invited organizations.

We had submitted our recommendations to the Finance Committee in August and we were grateful to be selected to appear before the Committee. It gave us a meaningful opportunity to discuss the importance of Canada’s investment in women and children’s health overseas.
