CanWaCH Report on Engaging a Youth Council for the Global Adolescent Health Conference

This past May, CanWaCH hosted the Global Adolescent Health Conference and included a group of 10 youth from across the world in the planning and execution of the Conference. Our report, titled “Conference Youth Council: A Retrospective Report” serves as a reflection on the key accomplishments, success factors, and lessons learned from the process of including youth in the Conference planning and execution.

The report also discusses several critical factors for success that would be useful for other organizations looking to engage a similar group and it outlines lessons learned for future engagement of youth, including commencing the planning process earlier and prioritizing a greater diversity of voices.
