Partnerships for Impact: CanWaCH’s Strategic Plan for 2020 – 2025

CanWaCH is excited to share our new Strategic Plan for the next five years. We developed this bold new vision with the advice and input of our members, Board of Directors, working groups, key stakeholders and other partners. The next five years will demand that we are bold in our vision and that we harness the transformative potential of coalition-building to bring it to life. We are proud to share this path forward with all of you and to launch the next phase of CanWaCH! Find out what our four strategic objectives are for the next five years.

Sign up for virtual office hours with the CanWaCH Communications Team

The CanWaCH Communications Team is pleased to introduce virtual office hours, also known as “Coffee with the CanWaCH Communications Team.” On a biweekly basis, a member of our team will be standing by in our ‘virtual office’ inviting you to stop in and see us. Our goal is to share advice and expertise that can support CanWaCH members in your communications and public engagement efforts. Sign up for reminders here!

Celebrating one year since Canada’s historic global health announcement

On June 4, 2019, Canada announced a historic $1.4 billion investment towards women and girls’ health globally. As we marked the one year anniversary of that groundbreaking announcement, we called on Canada to champion a feminist and human rights-based response to COVID-19, recognizing the pandemic’s gendered impacts and intersections with sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Maximize your organization’s stakeholder engagement efforts!

Strategic and well-planned engagement with stakeholders is key to ensuring your organization’s needs and goals are met during COVID-19. In support of our members’ stakeholder engagement planning, CanWaCH has put together an infographic that outlines six essential steps for maximizing impact.

Integrating a gender lens in HR policies and practices

Prior to COVID-19, nearly one-third of all Canadian adults were providing unpaid care to a family member or friend, with women spending three times as many hours doing unpaid care and domestic work. As the pandemic continues to disrupt work-life balances, we invite human resources (HR) and managerial staff to join us for a webinar that will share concrete solutions and strategies for implementing strong internal HR and gender equality policies. Register here!

CanWaCH’s COVID-19 Resource Centre

Over the past few months, we have compiled a COVID-19 Resource Centre to help our members as they adapt their operations and programming amid the pandemic. Discover key resources, webinars and readings that cover a range of essential topics relevant to operating during COVID-19.

Data Matters

The Project Explorer Resource Hub is here! Discover a series of short videos that demonstrate how you can use the powerful Project Explorer tool and contribute to Canada’s global impact in international development, humanitarian response and human rights.
