Tuberculosis remains one of the world’s deadliest infectious diseases, a fact shaped by inequity and weak health systems. This session centres honest storytelling, practical lessons, and mentorship, offering insight into what meaningful, equity-driven global health work truly looks like.

Panelists: Dr. Dawit Wolday (PhD, MSc, MD + Associate Professor McMaster + Senior Research Scientist at EPHI) Dr. Ferris Munyonho (PhD, MSc + Innovation + Engineering) Petra Heitkamp (MSc + Executive Director, iLINQ2, Co-Chair Stop TB Canada) Dr. Charity Oga-Omenka (B.Pharm, MPH, PhD + Assistant Professor UWaterloo)
