Immediate results: 1) increased capacity of relevant departmental directorates to use mechanisms, procedures and tools for planning and implementing sexual and reproductive health and rights activities (SRHR) taking GE into account; 2) strengthened mechanisms for coordinating SRHR activities taking into account GE and the rights of women and girls; 3) strengthened capacities for those responsible for implementing sector budget assistance for sexual and reproductive health (SBA SRH) in the collection, analysis and use of SRHR data taking GE into account; 4) enhanced skills for national and regional technical services executives in the training and supervision of SRHR activities incorporating GE; 5) improved service provider skills in the use of regional and local mechanisms and in the adaptation and integration of SRHR for women and girls (e.g., quality committees and EFH focal points (equality for women and men); 6) strengthened capacities of national and regional technical service executives to train and mentor local stakeholders in SRHR communication for women and girls; 7) improved capacities of local stakeholders in their use of SRHR communication materials and tools, taking into account the needs of women and girls, of men and boys.
The results will be available in a few months when the final report is prepared. In addition, we noted definite progress in the availability of revised or new tools at the national level to integrate sexual and reproductive rights and gender equality (GE) into the overall planning and monitoring/evaluation of health programs/projects. Now they must be integrated so that their use becomes routine not only at the central level, but also at the regional and operational level.
