Global Affairs Canada has released What We Heard, a summary of the submissions the Canadian government received in response to its International Assistance Review (IAR) Discussion Paper. Consultation on the paper took place from May to July 2016, and the Canadian Partnership for Women and Children’s Health (CanWaCH) was pleased to work with our partners to submit our response to the IAR. With the benefit of input from over 30 organizations and individuals, and through facilitating numerous conversations, we highlighted the importance of Canada’s continued support for improved women, children’s and adolescent health.
Global Affairs Canada reports that it engaged over 15,000 individuals and partners from around the world. Based upon the submission, the government will release its new International Assistance Policy for Canada over the Winter of 2017 with implementation of that policy commencing in the Spring of 2017.
