Inaugural Newsletter! Welcome to the Health Excellence Research Alliance

Introducing: HERA Monthly!

CanWaCH is excited to introduce HERA – the Health Excellence Research Alliance. This sub-brand will be the new home of our work as the Coordinating Centre for the Pan-Canadian Women’s Health Coalition (PCWHC). It will also include a growing spectrum of our work supporting critical health research both domestically and around the world. Learn more about the brand on this page and follow the brand on LinkedIn and BlueSky.

This newsletter marks the first in a monthly series under the HERA initiative. Each month, you can expect to receive key updates from the PCWHC, important developments in the research space, and emerging opportunities to support your work. Most importantly, this newsletter is a platform for you to share intel and connect with each other.

A new way to submit your content

We want HERA to work for you. To ensure that we’re capturing the most helpful content and can’t-miss updates, we invite you to submit everything you’d like shared via this intake form. Through this form, you can submit both newsletter content and general content you’d like us to promote on our social media platforms.

If you have any attachments or cannot use the form for some other reason, please send content directly to Sundus Khan, Manager of Evidence in Action, at [email protected].

Coming this summer: HERA Changemaking Conversations

Get ready to be inspired and informed! Starting this summer, we are launching a dynamic virtual webinar series where leading women’s health researchers take the spotlight to share cutting-edge findings that matter. This is more than just research—it’s a movement to turn evidence into action. Join advocates, policy makers, and change-makers from across Canada and around the world as we explore how the latest evidence can drive real change in policy and practice.

What this means for you: Each month, we will be featuring one Hub’s work and impact to date. During our upcoming meeting in May, we will discuss what these sessions will look like and how to maximize your presentation. In the meantime, please sign up by sharing your Hub’s availability to present your work as a featured speaker at this link over the next year.
