This event features six LGBTIQ organizations from Uganda and Kenya: Freedom and Roam Uganda (FARUG), Icebreakers Uganda (IBU), Sexual Minorities Uganda (SMUG), HIV and AIDS People’s Alliance of Kenya (HAPA-Kenya), Health Options for Young Men on HIV/AIDS & STIs (HOYMAS), and Mission for Advisory and Advocacy for Younger Generations Organization (MAAYGO).
We will be sharing the impacts and learnings of The Right to Health and Healing Project with the launch of Journey to Healing: A Guide for LGBTIQ-led Organizations Implementing Mental Health Programs. The virtual event will also explore the funding priorities for LGBTIQ mental health and well-being programming with the launch of Urgent, Feasible, Impactful, and Fundable! A Case for LGBTIQ-led Mental Health Initiatives.
The event will be moderated by Leah Odle-Benson, Deputy Director – Impact and Learning at the Stephen Lewis Foundation and Doug Stollery, President of the Stollery Charitable Foundation.
