Action Against Hunger Canada and the Canadian Partnership for Women and Children’s Health (CanWaCH) are excited to announce an upcoming report that will reimagine Canada’s role in global nutrition.
To inform this critical resource, the two organizations co-hosted a two-day retreat in Ottawa, convening leaders and experts from across the public, private, philanthropic, academic and civil society sectors, alongside in-country partners who traveled from around the world to contribute their expertise and perspectives.
CanWaCH and the Inter-Agency Working Group (IAWG) on Reproductive Health in Crises will be hosting a special networking reception during the International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP)! Taking place immediately after the opening ceremonies, join us on November 3 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. local time.

Op-eds are short opinion essays that let you share your expertise, shape public conversations and position your organization as a trusted voice — all without paying for media space. In this extended At a Glance, we break down when op-eds are the right choice, how to craft a compelling argument and tips for pitching your piece to Canadian publications.

Marked on October 11, the International Day of the Girl calls the world to amplify girls’ voices, celebrate their potential and push for change on the barriers that stand in their way.
Members of the CanWaCH team celebrated the day from WickFest Milton, where we used our FuelHER initiative to connect young athletes with global perspectives on sport, health and leadership. Activities included a nutrition-themed scavenger hunt, ‘dotmocracy’ wall and screenings of international development initiatives. View highlights from the weekend on Instagram!
Did you know? Plan International Canada rallied thousands of supporters and the Canadian government to make International Day of the Girl a reality. Check out their website to learn more about this year’s focus and meet girls leading change around the world.
